Senator Who Blocks A Bill On Safety

Republican Senator Rand Paul, is opposing the new bill that would increase safety for pipeline workers. Even thought the workers in his own state want this bill to pass. Though there was a gas line rupture in Kentuckey, his home state, his opposition to this bill still has not changed. This bill was formed after an explosion near San Fransisco, which made congress think that there are gaps in federal safety regulations. Lawmakers believe that "something needs to change".
