Literacy Test, is it Really Necessary?

I don't think tests like the literacy test are necessary. This is because i dont think you should not be able to graduate. People who get good marks in other subjects might fail the literacy test and not go to collage or university because of one test.

Senator Who Blocks A Bill On Safety

Republican Senator Rand Paul, is opposing the new bill that would increase safety for pipeline workers. Even thought the workers in his own state want this bill to pass. Though there was a gas line rupture in Kentuckey, his home state, his opposition to this bill still has not changed. This bill was formed after an explosion near San Fransisco, which made congress think that there are gaps in federal safety regulations. Lawmakers believe that "something needs to change".
